Grand Cherokee 4xe Charging Options

The US currently has nearly 43,000 charging stations throughout the nation and more are being added. In addition, Jeep Brand is committed to going even greener by adding solar-powered charging stations near major off-road trails around the country. For those in areas where charging stations are few, don’t worry. You can still enjoy the power of the Grand Cherokee 4xe with an optional home charging station and installation.

Grand Cherokee 4xe Driving Modes

The Grand Cherokee 4xe has a total of three driving modes:

  • Hybrid Mode combines the power of the 2-liter turbocharged engine with the electric motor for a dynamic driving experience that allows the 4xe to reach its maximum horsepower and torque.
  • Electric Mode is best for quick commutes around town and helps you reduce your carbon footprint with every mile. In electric mode, you’ll almost eliminate your tailpipe emissions.
  • ESave Mode is for those times when you’re planning to push the 4xe to its limits later on. This option shifts to using the 2-liter engine solo, and banks your battery power for the future.

Grand Cherokee 4xe Power and Performance

The power of the Grand Cherokee 4xe is nearly silent in the all-electric mode, but no matter what mode you’re in, it still packs a powerful punch. We’ll let the off-roader’s impressive specs speak for themselves.

  • 375-horsepower
  • 470 pound-feet of torque

Grand Cherokee 4xe Capabilities

This hybrid SUV makes off-roading more adventurous with a Quadra-Trac II® 4×4 System that senses when the tires are slipping in mud, water, or other shifty terrains. When it does, available torque is redirected to the axle to boost your traction and keep you trekking along. If you like to go the truly daring route, the water-sealed battery pack allows adventurers to take the Grand Cherokee 4xe through up to 24 inches of water.  Of course, you’ll want to make sure you know the water’s depth and always off-road responsibly.
