Is there any specific gear your child may need? Most likely, that answer is yes. Whether that’s a baseball bat or soccer cleats, make sure your all-star is ready to go with the tools for a successful season. Gather their jersey, socks, pants, shorts, or any other clothing items they may need. Don’t forget the sunscreen for those bright Saturday gamedays too.
How are they going to get to practice? With practices, games, and your own schedule, there’s bound to be conflicts. Exchange contact information with the other teammates’ parents so you can arrange a pick up for your child when needed and vice versa.
It’s Time for a Physical
Your child is growing! If you haven’t taken him or her to the doctor in the last year, it’s time you do so. Make sure everything is checked out before they hit the ground running with baseball, track, soccer, or any other spring sports.
Those late-night practices will creep up on you. Instead of going through another drive-thru or eating something frozen for dinner, pull out your CrockPot for easy and simple dump-and-go recipes. At the beginning of the day, dump in the ingredients and dash out for the day. The slow cooker also keeps your food warm, which is great for busy weeknights when everyone is eating at different times.
